Relief from PTSD is Possible
We see folks who live with PTSD sufferers everyday. We know that they often live in chaos, a well-planned day can be destroyed in a minute by a flashback or panic attack experienced by their loved one. Waking up to being choked after little sleep due to your spouse prowling around all night, “keeping the perimeter secure”. Living in fear every day that your partner might finally make good on a promise to commit suicide. Children who need a safety plan in case the PTSD gets out of control and the kids have to find safety from a violent parent. Alcohol abuse in the home, trying to dampen the symptoms but only making it worse and more volatile. Or maybe your veteran has shut down and is so depressed they can not function. If any of this sounds familiar, you are in the right place.
Most of the public’s attention is focused on veterans with PTSD. We decided to work with the families of PTSD sufferers because we see how invisible spouses feel. No one thanks you for your service, even though you continue to serve long after your spouse has been discharged. If you are married to PTSD or have a family member with PTSD you are in the right place.
There is a lot of information on what to do…but little on how to do it. Often research can be hard to understand, that’s where we have the advantage. As Mental Health Professionals & Veterans and spouse, we are committed to you and your spouses recovery. We sort through everything out there and translate the research into practical advice and tools.
